Anchor Young Adult Group

Over the past year, your support through the Sag Bridge Mission Society has gone a long way in sustaining the Anchor Young Adult Group. We are incredibly grateful for your generosity and the role you have played in helping this ministry grow.

Through Anchor, attendees have been able to deepen their understanding of the Catholic faith. Several members have expressed how the regular discussions and topics have helped them better articulate what they believe, giving them the confidence to share their faith with others and, when necessary, properly defend it.

The group has also become a safe haven for young adults in our community. We live in a culture where secularism is increasingly prevalent and often challenges or rejects many of the teachings of the Catholic Church. Anchor provides an environment where young adults can come together, encourage one another, ask difficult questions, and reassure each other as they strive to remain firm in their faith.

Anchor has also become an important form of community outreach. We have had reverts come to the group and rediscover aspects of the Catholic faith that they had never understood before. Converts have been able to encounter Catholics who genuinely live out their faith and experience Catholicism through the lives of real people, rather than through the misconceptions and straw-man portrayals they may encounter on social media. We have also had individuals come to the group who are struggling with addictions, family difficulties, and other challenges. While we are not a replacement for professional help, the group provides them with friendship, encouragement, prayer, and a community that reminds them that they are not alone.

The leaders and members of Anchor are deeply appreciative of your continued support. Communities like this are not easy to find, and your generosity has helped make it possible for us to provide a place where young adults can grow in their faith, build lasting friendships, and support one another through the challenges of life.
